Electrical Inspection & Testing

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the safety and condition of electrical installations, including wiring, fuse boards, and sockets. It’s essential for ensuring your property’s electrical systems are safe and compliant with BS7671 (wiring regulations). Regular EICRs are recommended every 10 years for residential properties and every 5 years for rental and commercial properties.

EICRs help identify potential hazards like electrical shocks, fire risks, and overloaded circuits. They ensure compliance with safety regulations, providing peace of mind for homeowners, landlords, and businesses.

Identifying Safety Issues

During a recent EICR, we identified a dangerous issue with outdoor bollard lights on a 1st floor decking area. There was 196V between the casing of the light fitting and the metal framework of the glass balustrade. This posed a severe risk of electrical shock. Addressing such hazards is crucial for ensuring the safety of all occupants.
